TO THE SKY
My work reflects a dialogue between the grounded beauty of the natural world and the vast potential of the unknown. Using mixed-media techniques and a pattern-based approach, I create abstract paintings that weave together elements of the tangible and the ethereal. Through layers of texture, color, and visual rhythm, I explore the tension between the microcosm and the macrocosm—the petals of a blossom mirroring constellations, the ripples of a pond echoing the orbits of stars.
Each painting is a meditation, inviting viewers to contemplate the consonance between natural cycles and our manufactured systems. By blending organic imagery—blossoms, leaves, and geometric forms—with abstract and intuitive mark-making, I hope to access the spaces where absence and presence intersect, blurring the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
“To the Sky” serves as both a reflection and a reach—a reminder that while we are set by the earth beneath our feet, we are also inherently drawn to the vast unknown above. Through these works, I hope to evoke the quiet awe of looking up at a star-strewn sky or observing the intricate beauty of a flower, encouraging viewers to find moments of connection within the patterns of nature and beyond.
